Nchimunya Wulf believes design is a language—one spoken in light and shadow, texture and form, presence and care. It is a language that remembers where we come from, and gestures toward what is possible. Rooted in culture, guided by community, and carried by intention, her work exists to serve the human spirit.
Born of two worlds, Zambian and Danish, her practice moves fluidly between continents and disciplines. From the vertical intensity of Manhattan to the grounded, communal landscapes of rural Zambia, Nchimunya has learned that space is never neutral. It holds emotion. It shapes identity. It can wound—or it can heal. She designs with this knowing, creating environments that do more than please the eye: they invite connection, dignity, and belonging.
Across interiors, fashion, and visual storytelling, her approach is intuitive and deeply human. As a trusted creative and stylist, she has collaborated with athletes and cultural figures including NBA LeBron James, MLB outfielder Jason Heyward, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, French professional footballer Tiémoué Bakayoko, and NBA star Kevin Durant, tailoring their appearances for high-profile events, advertising campaigns, and personal branding. style is not performance; it is alignment.
In 2015, she co-founded 14+ Foundation with architect Joseph Mizzi—an offering to her ancestral home and a declaration of belief. Belief that design is not a luxury. That beauty and safety and access to learning are not privileges. That a classroom can be an act of resistance, and a well-built space can be a doorway to freedom. Together, they have built two schools in rural Zambia, serving over 500 children and nurturing ecosystems that center sustainability, education, and care.
Her work with 14+ Foundation is grounded in collaboration. Village craftsmen. Women-led cooperatives. Local hands shaping their own futures. This philosophy has drawn kindred collaborators, including Kevin Durant and artist Rashid Johnson, whose partnership brought a basketball court to life as a site of play, art, and collective pride.
Nchimunya Wulf designs as an act of service. As remembrance. As responsibility.
She believes space can teach us how to treat one another.
That intention leaves a trace.
That when design listens—truly listens—it becomes a vessel for empowerment, healing, and possibility.
This is her practice.
This is her offering.
